Overall
I wish I had known...
No, I was well documented about the country and university before I went, and had met people who had told me about the student life in Georgetown

In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
Important factors in my choice
(1) Unimportant – (4) Very important
Personal recommendation
you have to go if you are curious about American culture. If you have no prejudices against it, you will learn to appreciate it, and the quality of studies, and the tremendous amount of opportunities that you can take there (in Dc : internships in governmental organisms or NGo's, student activities and sports,...)

the English you speak in the USa is so much different than the one you leanr at school in France that is was first quite difficult to understand the laguage of the "youngs" but it got easier and easier little by little, by the simple fact of talking with people using their everyday language

Housing
Type of housing: 2d semester : Off campus
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
is it an unforgettable experience to get the chance to discover the way of living of American students on campus, and it is easier to integrate yourself into thecampus life.
But it is also great to change and to experience the life of the Georgetown district in Dc, so it is also a very enriching experience to live off campus, to be more independent and to share a house with roomates.

Personal comments
Very convenient and confortable, European students are not often used to so much space and modernity within a house ! But the counterpart is that it is very expensive !
