Try to go to Stockholm, Uppsala, Kiruna and Lund. If you have time and money left, you have to go to Norway to see the Fjords and to Kopenhagen. Both places are not very far from Gothenburg.

Student life
Describe host city:
Students interact with the local community without much university involvement

Activities: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment
Travel, Nightlife: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment
Personal social experience

The "Avenue" is the main street in Gothenburg and there you have plenty of pubs, clubs and cafes like: Barbar, Diamonds & Dogs, Valand, Excet, Nivo, the Dubliners... Don´t miss Linnégatan which is a street more in the east, also with lots of pubs and good prices. If you are going during the summer term to Gothenburg, don´t miss Varborg and Midsommer!

Personal spending habits
Barcelona is not a cheap city for students if you live in a student flat or residence, so the prices here were quite reasonable for me. Food and transportation is more expensive, but you will learn how to save money...

A private foundation offers every year a grant to exchange students, what it is very cool. Not so many negative financial surprises.

Academic
Course recommendations
All courses held by Mr. Charles Nadeau are very good although they are not easy. There are plenty of economics courses which are also very demanding.

If you don´t have to pass a specific level (C/D)from your home university try to attend lower levels. In each course you have to write Essays and papers in groups, try to begin early with the work!

Personal comments
At the beggining it was very difficult to follow the instruction but my ability to do so improved very quickly. The projects were more difficult because it was hard to be the only one in the group who didn't speek Swedish as their mother tongue. Using English was there for essential sometimes but fortunately everyone spoke it.
