Personal recommendation
Fachhochschule Ulm has a good offer for students coming from the fields of Computer Science Engineering, and Industrial Engineering. Besides, it is situated in a city with important industries, such as DaimlerChrysler, Siemens, Nokia, or Intel, and it represents a great opportunity to find a first job as student. In general, Germany is also a good place for students coming from the fields of Chemistry, Biology, and so on, but, in this case, you have to try to join the University of Ulm, not the Fachhochschule.

Final comments
Ulm is situated in the heart of Europe, a circle of cities such as Paris, Amsterdam, Prague, Budapest, Wien, Rome, or those from Switzerland, as well as the Alps, becoming easy and attractive to visit. The German culture is a good deal different from the Meditarranean, and, for that, worth knowing. In general, I would recommend every student to go and study abroad for, at least, one year, and enjoying, being open, and living, because it is a great experience that cannot be comparable to any lesson, and, what is more important, to any success, in the studies.

I realised it is not needed to speak German in Germany in most of the situations. This was a big problem for learning the local language. Besides, we formed a quite big group of Spanish people, so we spent much time talking Spanish also. I had the opportunity to learn some German in three courses, two of them counting as subjects in my home university. I also had the opportunity to manage with spoken German in daily situations. Regarding to my English, I practised it a lot with foreign people all along a year; besides, I also attended an advanced English course at the Fachhochschule Ulm, and I was working 7 months in an English speaking company.
