In the nightlife case, I just went out more...So in that case it´s normal. Concerning food, I wasn´t living by myself in Belgium so I really come concious of how much meat, fruit and vegetables cost. This was a good learning experience too! Coocking for myself was in the beginning difficult but after a while I coocked together with my roomie so that´s a lot easier than coocking for one person.

Not really, I had informed myself with a girl from my home university who studied there last year, I knew what to expect. But extra financial support from my parents was what I needed!
