For the most part, the English level of the lecturers as well as the international students was very good. Out on the town, the French were also very eager to speak English - even when I made an effor to speak French...

as i recognize french people dont tend to speak foreign language even though they know unless they need to speak. moreover any situation tend to impose me to speak french unless some exception. in my college feel free to speak english as it is my language of instruction. however, when i am thinking to consult any admistrative officer lets say for Security Social then i typically find the person that he or she doesn't speak english well. hence when i would like to do anything outside college i must speak at least basic fench as i recognze.

At the school there were some problems because some students and even teachers had a poor knowledge of English that really dragged down the quality of a class. It is quite disappointing when you write something in an exam and the teacher doesn't understand what you are saying because of language barrier on his part...

I learned the language very fast once I started to go to school, it allowed to improve to a point I believe wouldn't have been possible if I hadn't come. I also had a chance to improve my writing and computer skills.
