Pourquoi?
Living in the campus was good as I didn't have to take public transport to get to the university, but now I think it'd be best to live in a house or in an apartment in order to know better the town and to have more intimacy, though I also think that living with a family have more advantages if you want to improve the language

I lived in an universitarian residence; in my opinion it was ok except for the shower and the toilet which were collective (in fact that was a problem only during the first days, after I got used to that)

At the beginning it was difficult to make the others understanding me, the pronunciation in the language of instruction (French) is more important than I thought, anyway the most of the people tried to make us feel confortable (to the foreign students, in general) and that helps a lot!

I think it's important to ask for information or advice both to teachers and partners because there are always people who have done before the same things that you want to do (or at least, similar things) and they can have very usefull information
