The cost to install a telefone line ist incredibly high! Apartment rent was expensive, everyday life was almost the same as at home, nightlife somestimes a bit more expensive ( depends on the place you go to )

Check if you live in a part of BCN where they have other telefone providers than telefonica e.g. Meta ( could save ou a lot of money ), having an international student card can give you cheaper access to some sightseeing (e.g. Sagrada Familia)

Every neighbourhood has one day in the month to put furniture outside, so that the cleaning service comes to pick it up. This is a way to find free furniture for your house. You will be surprised to see the good state most furniture is still in when people put it outside.
