Overall
Strongly oriented to the international aspect of each subject, which make classes pertinent for our professional goals. I am pleased of the political sciences track I chose in first year.

Cons
more specified finance classes (before master) like financial risk management, trading or investment analysis. Administration could also be improved.

Personal comments
Back in september when I arrived my french was worse then I thought. I always liked the language, and in Holland I normally got good grades. But now, ten months later, I do see improvement. With the french students I speak more french. I also notice during the courses that I understand the teacher much better. Only when I have to arrange administratative things, I find it still quit hard.

Academic
Course recommendations
I couldn't chose my courses, because I do a double degree program. This means I have to do exactly the same courses as the (third years) french students.

Personal comments
No, it's just the level of the school, which is very high, and therefore very hard. Even the french students strugled with some courses. But they are all do-able, it just takes a lot of effort, defenitely if your french is not great.

Personal spending habits
The overall cost of living standard in France and especially in Paris is significantly higher than that of in Estonia. I regard it as normal and inevitable. Although, yes I did spend more on traveling, because I wanted to see as much of the country and people as possible.

I wish I had known...
The only thing I wished I had known was the quality of the housing, if I had known it would have been this bad I would have gone elsewhere.

Try to get the know the local students. You have to do an effort. French students are not very open and you have to take the initiative to talk to them and getting to know them.

Final comments
Paris is a wonderful city. Museums are free every 1st Sunday of the month, the Louvre museum is free for students under the age of 25 after 6 o clock. Your student card gives you a lot of disscount on numerous activities.
