The chance to learn the language was my number one factor in choosing to come to Spain. I loved being able to use it on an everyday basis and seeing my Spanish improve throughout the exchange.

Because it allows you to experience
the culture better. Residence life is not the same as North American residence life. The people are not as welcoming and the residence is really out of the way

In general, these expenses are much greater than those in New Zealand. Also we come over here with a very weak dollar making our money disappear a lot quicker!

Accomodation was not as expensive as I had anticipated. A lot more than New Zealand but still this was a pleasnat surprise to not have to pay as much as originally thought.
