not much but once i felt that i am spending more and i tried to cut down on my expenses and tried having italiaa and arabic food and i enjoyed the change very much and i was able to save some money also

Partying in the south of France, if you want to do it properly and enjoy the good clubs, is very expensive, but well worth it if you're there for an exchange. Housing, as said before, can be done cheaper than I did, and you'll be better off. Food is expensive in France, but then, maybe that's because I just love French food...

In France every student, even not French, receives government aid for the rent (Caisse d'allocations familiales - CAF), which helps quite a lot

nice is very expensive to live, eat and socialise as it is the french riviera. However it is not as bad as everyone seems to think it is but even the basics of fruit and vegetables prove more costly than at home.

Don't forget to apply for the CAF regarding the housing, then rents get soo much cheaper! As my home country is quite expensive as well I didn't find that it was a big difference..

Food was more expensive, as well as the apartment rent and drinks' price. I don't travel that much at home, otherwise it's quite cheap to travel in Nice once you get the 12-25 card.

Opening an account requires effort, too much comparing to many other European countries. Getting a phone contract is worthless as it takes too much time and money to cancel it. I would go for the prepaid cards.
