In my domain (Engineer, Telecommunications...) English is essential. That's why I chose to come in Dublin. Besides, here, it's very easy to speak with anybody, so you can progress pretty quickly.

It got easier and easier to understand the professors lecturing. It helped a lot to learn english studying and working on projects with students from different nationalities.

It was quite hard at the beginning cause of the Irish accent (so strange for non native speakers),but at the end there were no problems to understand almost all.

coming from an english-speaking country i didn´t have any real language problems. some of the irish expressions are a bit confusing though!

Watching was very helpful, as well as recruitement interviews. The biggest problems were with the local students, speaking quicky and with slang.

It was hard during the first weeks - Irish slang and so on. Totally different from the "normal English". But after the first month - no problem.
