University night club was great! There was also a pub called Cambell's nearby campus which was cozy. Many good nightclubs, but very expensive to drink in them.

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
Because you live with many other students from all nationalities and it is a very enriching experience. It is the best way to meet people.

They send you information about all the choices of accomodation and help you with the applications. The Halls of Residence I stayed at was Priory Hall and in my opinion it is the best option because you are on campus, you can walk to class, and in addition, you are in the city centre, at walking distance from shops, bars, discos, etc.
It is a little bit expensive, but it is worth.

The city is in the middle of the country, so everything is "near". TRavel as much as you can!
Advice: Do not be all the time with people of your country. Try to meet international students.

Personal spending habits
The currency was stronger so everything was a bit more expensive, especially the rent, but it is usual in UK cities, electricity, water and gas cost more than in Finland. I spent more on nightlife just because I went out a lot more, I think the drinks may be even cheaper in UK but I'm not sure... Public transport was cheaper in Coventry compared to home, also got a nice student discount from buses and trains.

Pretty hard to open a bank account if you're just an poor student not working.. :D But I succeeded to open a cash account in the end, but it took 5 weeks of running around offices getting documents and booking appointment.. I guess they are quite busy in October when all the students come in..

Overall
I highly recommend this course of study. The teachers are very supportive and the courses are very enriching and interesting. My level of English has improved enormously. Moreover, there's a great, friendly atmosphere in the school, and all the students know each other and help each other out.

Careers
The school offers us internships and links us up with former student internships. I found my internship thanks to my network.

Pros
It prepares us well for competitive examinations and masters degrees. What's more, it has a real international dimension, with internships abroad and a 100% English curriculum.
Cons
They could do more to help us find internships.
