Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Undergrauate students in the US who live on campus are usually 18 years old, 5 younger than me (at the time I went abroad); it's a more independent way to live too

Personal comments
I had a good accomodaton, lived in a university apprtment (5 people, 3 bedrooms, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 1 common room); the other dormitories mostly are only double occupancy bedrooms with no possibility to prepare own meals - would not recommend living there. Still, on campus housing is a very good way to meet people!

American English is not always the one that you learn in France. I was more used to British English or a mix of both. However, being in the South of the USA makes you learn this specific accent and slang language. it was hard at the begginning but then it was fine. actually I love southern American English now
