“Studying at the CAU”

OverallThe student life at the CAU is relaxed and Kiel is a nice city with a lot of young students. The courses are different, some are more difficult than others, depends on the prof. In general I would recommend living and studying in Kiel because the proximity to the sea is wonderful and the people are friendly.

Overall
Not all courses I took were helpful, specially the German as a foreign language, plus of them were very basic for a Master degree, but overall the studies were good. The teachers are very helpfull and open for collaborations if you reach out to them.

Travel by train in Germany, it is not so expensive, and within hours you come from one part of the country to another.

cheap health insurance is avail. from university
Go to International or foriegn student club/organization. They'll be your best resource. Kennedy Haus and Goethe Institut also helpful in info.
