Personal recommendation
Obviously the University of Bolton is getting better rates every year. However, the town itself is not the best place to live, the university experience was excellent, and it has overcome the negative side of the stay. I valued the profesionalism of the university and practical approach to courses the most.

Final comments
It is worth visiting few places around eg. Manchester and Science Museum, the Lake district is nice, Liverpool and maybe few places along the coast.
The town isn´t very safe at night, therefor I would advice to take a cab everywhere you go that time of a day.

Bolton is a bit dirty town not really safe and got any kind of weather at anytime. Usually is windy and rainning.
What you need is a very strong umbrella and big jacket.
