Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam, Rotterdam, Netherlands
Business Studies, Undergraduate, University Agreement
Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
I loved the whole campus experience; it was extremely sociable and I made friends for life. The only drawback about living in residence was that I was forced to eat in the cafeteria, which unfortunately served both unhealthy and unappetizing food.

The rooms are fairly small, but if you're an outgoing, active person like me, you won't spend much time in your room anyway. All the necessary furniture is there and the janitors are extremely helpful, so it never takes long if you need to have anything fixed. I shared a bathroom with one other person, that worked out very well.

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Because the cost of living on campus was too much. They exploit students by requiring them to purchase a "Meal Plan" or the semester because there are no cooking facilities in the rooms. However, the meal plans are expensive considering the limited, over priced items included in the dining hall.

Good for meeting people and having a social life. However, if you are after value for money... on campus accommodation at Bishops Uinversity isn't the way to go.

Although on campus housing was expensive, both the location of residence and student life couldn't have been any better.
