Angel Kunchev University of Rousse

Studying in Angel Kunchev University of Ruse is one huge experience both for natives and foreigners! Here ideas find a future! Professors are kind and always eager to help! I've always been attracted to the little park INSIDE the university campus and you can tell students like it as well as they spend a big part of their day in this park. Whether it is for studying, catching up with friends or even throwing a frisbee around you can always find a smiley face around.

I enjoyed the lectures, because the study materials were written in easy to understand language and they contained variety of excercises. I knew in advance the timetable, the exam dates and all the necessary information required to prepare me pass my exams. There were food counteens that were open all day and the meals were delicious. My favourite subjects were High Mathematics and Technical Mechanics.

My observations as a student are the following:

- Rude treatment from the administration, especially from the lady working at the cashier's desk.
- The professors approach their work in an extremely careless and dismissive manner. Many of the teaching materials have not been updated for decades. Grades are heavily inflated, and many courses have virtually no standards or requirements for students. They are often disrespectful and overly critical toward the few students who actually make an effort, represent the university at events and competitions, study seriously, and strive for high achievement.
- The overall academic environment is of a very low standard. The university admits virtually everyone, and almost everyone graduates with high grades, even if they do not know why they enrolled, lack fundamental knowledge, and are unwilling to put in any effort.

Perhaps the situation is similar at other Bulgarian universities, but that does not mean it is acceptable. It is a tragedy.

I learn how to become the man I am by working smart and focalize my efforts on the thing that matters. And I got that from University of Ruse.

All is according to current requirements
