“I loved studying life science there. My education added a lot to my life awareness and understanding of my surrounding.”
Huda A
Egypt, Undergraduate
Biology, 2006
Overall
I loved studying the 4 years college at Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University. The biosciences modules that I have studied increased my understanding to the human body, functions and reaction to environments, moreover understanding the plants and animal worlds around us.
My teachers were a group of very well educated professors who did not only transfer the knowledge to us but also taught us how to think and take observations.
Students were mainly from Egypt and some of them from other countries in the middle east. We had very close cultures and were able to adapt all together. My best friends till now are mostly from college.
The campus was quite small, but serving everybody though. We had most of the lectures and lab works located close to each other; few min walking.
Over all, my student life in college was satisfying and I am grateful to be one of Ain Shams University students.

“Old and classic school = stronger graduates”
Hoda A
Egypt, Undergraduate
Translation/Interpretation, 1995
Overall
One of Egypt's most prestigious universities, known for its rigid curricula and well experienced professors to teach and implement them. It belongs to the old school in teaching : allowing less freedom to students in their learning choices, but only giving high GPAs to the ones that worked hard enough to deserve them.
