Overall, it was a great stay. Choose your courses carefully so that you don't get overwhelmed with all the work. Live downtown, maybe share a place with other students.

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Rooms are no where near SOUND PROOF, its like you are living with ten other people. You can hear anything going on in the next two rooms, god forbid they like music, or tv!

i have to admit the facilities are not that good, but we had activities, and help to available to all who need it. Housing at this university is hard to get in to if you are not a first year student, but once you get in and get to know the people its all good.

Expect a lot of work for everyday university life; you can only experience nightlife downtown - takes a lot of time to get there and come back (if you live on campus)

So, so. Cleanliness is the main problems in residence. Second is neighbors.

Overall
It is coming towards the end of my first year at York University. The first term was fun and entertaining. I had problems with a specific teacher, but I am not saying names to respect their privacy. The second term was nice, meeting new students, house dons, and the people who clean the washrooms, empties the garbage, and other stuff. But, when I returned to campus from a visit with parents on March 31, I was so disgusted with the washrooms, sinks, showers, and when their is no soap in the soap dispensers for more than a week, there is a problem. I never seen a single house cleaner since that date. I understand they have a hard job, but for my specific floor, the washrooms and common room has been a disaster. It's so filthy, I do not feel comfortable living in residence.
