I did lots of journeys: New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Montreal, etc - therefore I would recommend to rent a car.

The location of the off-campus accomodation the host university provided was not convenient due to deficiency in public transport to campus and city area.

The accomodation offer did not mention some aspects of the apartment - namely that is was a basement apartment, only one bedroomed and had to be shared with another exchange student.
