The semester in Vienna improved a lot my english knowledge and helped me in practicing my german. Living in a multicultural environment gave me the possibility of learning another language, like spanish.

German was never a language I would have chosen to study, but I ended up really liking it and taking the time to learn the language. Don't be afraid of it! The basics are quite easy to learn.

I exercised a lot the language of instruction through the courses and everyday life with other international students. I was focused more on that and not to speak the local language.

even though most of the veryday life and classes were in German, we spoke English a lot among erasmus students. many students don't speak German, we had to speak English with them

I already spoke almost fluent german, therefore I did not expect to learn so much, however I did learn, as the dialects are so different from the german I know. ( Hochdeutsch)
