Uppsala Universitet (UU)

I booked it through Uppsala University half year before arriving with a certificated letter. When I arrived I had no room. I had to go to live in Flogsta for 1 month with one friend waiting for one room. Thay did not allow us to use the main entrance because it was not convinient for the image of the Basic Hotel though it was not written in the contract and we were paying either way 2500 SKR every month. It was another place to accommodate called Flogsta, Swedish students used to call it as "The Ghetto". 2000 people gather together, most of them foreigners. Price 1800SKR

I had to visit the emergency room in Uppsala and I couldn't get any care until I paid 500 krona. If I'd been an EU citizen, I would have had better access.

The room was quite OK and also its location in the city,but price was a little high to my expectations.

Participate in the welcoming week, student clubs and activities, so you can meet as many people as you can.

the most used language by student and teacher was english to ease the integration of international students in the university but i feel a little disappointed with the fact that i couldn t learn more swedish

It was really well organized.There were different residences (3) in the city and all of them were nice.
