I have no problems to communicate with tutors and academic staff. However, I found difficult to understand some Scottish people with a really strong accent.

You will need contract of your accommodation and a letter that can proof your are a student to get a bank account, it's not so easy as in Spain.

It was great. I had a Glaswegian flatmate that did great impressions of the junkies and NEDS. I learned to imitate the accent. Great party trick.
