I didn't have any problems with the language. I needed a week to get used to the funny Scottish accent. Don't worry if you are afraid of the Scottish pronunciation since people here are really reall nice and they'll help you all the time.

On a Friday night FUBAR is the place to go to dance and drink. The MED is a great place for a quiet drink near campus, right outside the gates. Great for food too, although plan to stay a while...service is VERY slow.
