In the second-hand shops, most of them The Heart Foundation or Oxfam, you can find a lot of interesting things, books, cds, clothes, etc, and you are doing a good action if you buy there, because they give a percentage of your purchase

My only minor quibble is that the compulsory course in Mediaeval English - while instructive - seems largely designed to justify maintaining such a large (albeit talented and extremely approachable) staff in the area of expertise.

I used to have a tea at The Central (they always give you free biscuits with your tea or coffee) If I wanted a delicious piece of cake or any pastries, I went to Mac Gregors. But above all I prefer The Broons, you can have a quiet tea, a tasty lunch, a dinner, or have some spirits while lisening a live Dj.

The residence where I was living was a bit far from the centre (2,5 km) and it was the poorest accommodation in St. Andrews. It was a residence formed by houses of six people, with a bathroom, a toilet, the kitchen, and the rooms.

Every day there are some food items on sale at Tesco! And if you buy train tickets a little bit in advance (a week? Two? I don't remember), they're much cheaper.
