Housing
Type of housing: Non traditional Uni owned housing
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: rivately owned accomadation
Why?
Private accomadation-if you can get what you want/need can be cheaper. But if you need to be close to the university due to any difficukties with special needs Taylor court is is ideal. You Share a Kitxhen but have your own room with a private Bath.

Personal comments
Ocassionally, there are difficulties in getting repairs made,if needed. This is due to a lot of restructuringand cut backs in stsff but if you advise the cleaners who come in to clean coommon areas, they can report it for you or rereport it if needed.

Telephone charges were more expensive not because I called home often, but because they charge you local calls and supposedly "toll-free" calls. And travel is more expensive because so many different countries and cultures are so close by.

I was very surprised at how expensive it was to transfer money internationally from bank to bank. I would suggest putting whatever money you need into an account that is accessible by ATM, then take the cash out and deposit it into a British account that way.
