“Exciting but relaxed”
Michael F
China, Undergraduate
Economics, 2021
Overall
You will be surrounded by a fantastic cohort of students and will be guaranteed to have a good time. The placement year allows students to acquire professional experience and this gives them an inherent advantage coming out of university.
However, professors lack motivation, and too a certain extent students do too. Over the years, professors have recycled the same material (course content and exam questions) and there is almost a lack of authenticity with the information you learn. They are not receptive to students, so some modules can be frustration as they could be predictable.

Personal comments
Communication was fairly good, considering that we pretty much speak the same language. However, sometimes I felt like some English people thought less of us since we were Americans, and they made comments to that effect.

Bath is a nice place. It isn't a big city but is very easy to visit all the other place in UK and it is really near to Bristol. The University is very good and there are free english courses. The night life is pretty good.
