at the beginning I had to concentrate a lot to understand what people said. But in the course of time you learn also slang phrases when talking to Canadians.

I didn't explore any work options
Personal spending habits
I spent more because it was my intention to enjoy my time in Canada as intensly as I could, to make the best out of it, to see the country and go out as often as I could. Furthermore books, alcohol (high taxes) and food were more expensive than in my homecountry.
