The local language (norwegian) is not so easy to learn also because english is mostly used both by norwegian and foreigners. For this reason, I improved a lot my english and didn't really learnt norwegian.

They have great student houses, cleaning, with a lot of facilities, and the prices, eventhough high, are cheaper than find a house/room by your own.

There was so much to do on-campus, that i didn't have much time left over to explore oslo's places. I remember ther were some good salsa-places, one good oriental bar and an operabar, very special!

Most international students come to Kringsjå or Sogn. I recommend Sogn, it's more cosy and not so anonymous. However, it's just a 15 min. walk or 3 min. bus trip from one student residence to the other and you can easyly change after arrival. Many rooms have internet access and telephone. If you don't get internet right from the start you can get on a waiting list and change the room a few weeks later.
