The course for learning Norwegian was not worth attending, which I thought was a great pity since I wanted to learn the local language. Communication in English helped enlarge my vocabulary.

The most interesting lectures are in Norwegian and even though the University offers a program in English I would say that knowing the local is a plus on a academical point of view.

Final comments
Norway is very expensive so people with a erasmus scholarship must be ready to make some compromises in order to live there. It is a beautiful country and it is worth travelling if we have the opportunity. The social life there is really great.

Personal comments
You don't need to know any word of norwegian to live in Norway. Most of the people are fluent in English. The university has language courses which get filled up quite quickly.

Actually it was always a matter of cots, and the problem of coming home, because the student hostel is 6 km out of town. Therefore did we have a lot of parties at home
