I wish I had known...
In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
Important factors in my choice
(1) Unimportant – (4) Very important
Personal recommendation
Academically excellent, but it's not so logical to be exchange student if you mainly look forward to travel during your exchange experience since the level of education force you to study so much.

Pay €50 and get discount card for train travels. It really diminishes the all traveling expense.

“PBL isn't as good as you think”
Trevor T
Netherlands, Undergraduate
Business Studies, 2021
Overall
While the university is all in English and everyone speaks it at a more than serviceable level, Maastricht is just not good enough in terms of the Problem Based Learning that it swears by. No one really wants to be "discussion leader" and the "seven step process" that they tell you so much about in the introduction day is a farce that gets dropped by tutors almost instantly (it's no fun in practice anyway). And only in very few courses are you actually solving real life problems.
By the way, your grades are really impacted by your tutor, so you'd better hope you have a good one!
One more thing to know is that there is a LOT of maths in this degree, since it's a BSc. Be ready for that!

Maastricht is a good location from which organise travels in the Central Europe. It's nice to have a bike, there are many places where to have a ride just outside outskirts.

Great array of courses to choose from but some core ones are very uninteresting. Most of the staff is very friendly and you can call them by name.

el 49% de los alumnos son de países diferentes a Holanda, ello enriquece la formación por lo que supone diferentes culturas e ideas. La universidad lo integra bien.
