“Modern, diverse and promising”
Suad K
Belgium, Graduate

Overall
The University of Ghent is a beautiful school to study at. The first days are a bit difficult because of the transition from secondary school but the teachers, employees, and students know how to make a student feel at home. The study level is very challenging and makes you well-prepared for the big world.
What I like the most, is the environment which encourages diversity and durability. Ghent is a very diverse city to begin with and is called the "bike city" because of the low emission zone in the center, where no cars are allowed to drive. All in all, it's a modern, diverse and promising university where I have enjoyed my stay.

Travel : This was very good. The cities where old, lots of history, art. Ghent is also in the center of Europe. So this is your chance to travel in Europe, like going to London, Paris, Amsterdam. Only thing, it is so cold overhere!

“Organizational and Industrial psychology at the University of Ghent”
Camille B
Belgium, Graduate
Psychology and Behavioural Sciences, 2018
Overall
Currently I'm completing my masters in Organizational and Industrial psychology at the University of Ghent. I'm really glad I follow those courses at the university of Ghent. Our university scores really high in the international ratings, also for psychology. I learned so many interesting topics of psychology, I would definitely recommend this course. Besides going to university, there is a great student life in Ghent, there are many cosy bars, restaurants and so much more.

“Demanding but a lot to offer”
Aleksandra S

Overall
If you like going out, fast life and interesting challenges, UGent might be for you. Professors will expect a lot from you, but they are often available if you have questions about the course. The educational program changed this year (Bach 2017-2020) and is still in development, so some chaos is to be expected (exam form, planning, course material...). Overal impression of the university is very good, of the Flemish community itself a little lower.

“Ghent University if you are doubting you should do it!”
Bathiste C

Overall
Very though university, compared to other countries in Europe. Overall level is very high, bachelors are usually without group works so only one exam each semester. Master studies are a bit easier because there are lots of group assignments and more interactive with the real world. Professors can either really help you or they don't want to it's a bit of both. I had some good experiences and some bad with professors.
Ghent is a super fun city to go out, you have the student districts with parties every day from sunday evening till thursday evening. In the weekend you can go downtown to go out into the clubs and bars.
Ghent is also a very beautifull and historical city, so lots of tourists there is always something to do. There is for everyone something! Wether you like to go for a coffee to talk, chill at the river, in the park, with friends in a bar... Never a dull moment

Careers
They help you with showing platforms giving advice. But finding an internship is your own responsibility. They give you guidelines in finding jobs etc. But they won't do it for you
