Of course, you want to travel. Nobody has a phone, but everybody a mobile phone (gsm) - so it is a little more expensive. But it seems affordable altogether.

if You are below 25, you get many things cheaper. Get a "Go Pass" for traveling by train!! Pizzas are expensive, too. Beer is ok.

Languages
Language of instruction: Dutch
Was learning Dutch a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't.
How much did you improve your Dutch?
My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.)
My level after: At ease in most situations
Language difficulties
Administrative / Institutional
Personal comments
this is not the place to go if you really want to learn Dutch. most people speak only dialect among themselves so you end up speaking English and almost never Dutch. I could have learned more if I had gone to the Netherlands. Flemish Dutch is a lot more difficult to understand.

The most of courses were in Dutch language, but for exchange students were a possibility to selfstudy in English. I had a bit problem with Dutch, because I didn't know anything from it.Therefore I decided to learn new language (Dutch), it was interessting.
