Personal comments
I participated in a 'tandem-partner' scheme, which comprised of pairing up with a native German speaker, who wanted to improve his/her English language skills. We met in social situations, and took it in turns to speak either German or English. This was a massive advantage, as the situation encouraged natural conversation, and was encouraging if you felt nervous or uncomfortable speaking another language.

Studying in Hamburg

Business Studies, 2023
Overall
The University of Hamburg is one of the most renowned University in Germany. I am honored to be one of the students who are allowed to attend it. There are hundreds of courses one can study,  specifically over 300 courses. Whatever you are interested in, I am sure the University of Hamburg offers a course for you. Even though I am a native German speaker, there is not any disadvantage if you are not one. The University of Hamburg manages to have courses in English, especially for students from abroad. Most of students are open for making new friends. I speak from experience, since I met so many new people who I stay in touch with. Moreover, the location of the university is just idyllic, due to the famous Alster being 5 minutes by feet away. Last but not least, the professors: Since I can not speak for all of them, I will speak from my experience. Most of the professors who I met are really friendly and helpful, some of them  they can be a little bit though,
but they do it for your best. Hopefully you get to experience it too.
