I really had a very basic knowledge of the French language (it was truly hard to speak even with my flatmates) but after a while I could improve it and now I just want to perfection it.

If you are german: Be aware of joining to much the community of the many german students there, if you realy want to learn french. Try to contact swiss or french guys.

There is no comment about the language as it was my native language. The only pity is that there could have been cheaper foreign language courses...they are a bit expensive.
