if you want to travel around in france take the train and the "carte 12-25". sometimes air france has highly competitive student offers, check it out!

concerning all administrational matters: take somebody with you who speaks french well, foreign languages aren't necessarily spoken, there's loads of forms and bureaucracy is often pretty complicated.

In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
Important factors in my choice
(1) Unimportant – (4) Very important
Personal recommendation
if you want to get something done as far as your studies are concerned, this is a good place to go. if you're highly motivated try to pass the CSCT, especially if you might want to work in france later on.
if you're looking for a place to party you might be better off somewhere else.

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
it's easy to find an appropriate appartment at a reasonable price. rooms on campus are pretty cheap, but really small, showers and toilets are shared and pretty disgusting, so are the kitchens.
