Final comments
I loved my stay but not so much for the activities offered by the university. In fact, the university wasn't much of a help at all to be introduced to the local culture. You just have to get out there and try to meet french people in a private place/through friends or through the work place.

Overall

A night spot--Alien cafe not far away from the campus and from the tram station(which is great when you don't have a car), not expensive--cause targeted at students. Cafes are everywhere, but i like the one at the corner of the street facing the Cathedral. Just love this cathedral!!! Btw, that's really one of the places in Orleans not to be missed.
