There are 6 dorms, the largest one can take about 1000 students. The whole campus dates back to the 70ies, including the dorms. Therefore, the buildings aren't really up to date. Right now, things are about to improve, but it could be a lot better (compared to student dorms in Austria!).
Each student has a room on his/her own of about 10m² with a sink. Toilets and showers are in each hallway. The kitchens are small and not communicative at all. They are small and on one end of the floor. There is neither telephone on the floor or in the rooms, nor Internet. It can be quite nice if you buy lots of nice stuff to decorate the room, or if you don't spend too much time in there :) There is one big common room used for parties, shows, film screenings; there are also several study rooms and TV rooms. There are also washing machines (sometimes, not in all of them). The only REALLY good thing about the dorm is that it is very cheap! For one year it's no problem at all to live there; but I couldn't imagine living there throughout my studies (as lots of foreign students have to do because they cannot afford it! there are hardly any French students living in the dorms) Some of the dorms started useful workshops and interesting projects (skiing trip, international cuisine, library, computer room, theatre, magazine, video club, etc.).
