Personal comments
Location was superb. 5 mins from the lecture theatre, tram stop in front of the building. Lidl, Aldi, Real etc within 3 mins of the building. Small kiosk shop is in the building itself open from 7am to 11pm even open sundays and holidays (very rare in Germany!!). Great view from my room in the 'Uni Center' could see all the way to Bonn!

A rather good university but needs a pretty good level of German to fully benefit from it.
Teachers might have some understanding of language difficulties, but obviously a large amount of work is required.

Be aware of the fact that things take time in Germany, and that you will have to visit a few public offices to get grants for residence and working permit. This can be an experience with mixed pleasure.

Academic
Course recommendations
The university handed out a list of courses they recommended the foreign exchange students to participate in. The variaty could have been better. But the VWL-courses were very good!

Personal comments
No, we did learn a lot. It was kind of strange, though, that we had to find all the literature in the library ourselves and then copy it. It would have been better to buy a main book and then copy some chapters in addition to that.
