rooms were a bit too small for 2 persons, and there wasn't any a/c or fans, so they got desparately hot at night.

Good language courses at the Università per Stranieri, especially for ERASMUS students. Moreover possibility to have a "Tandem" partner. There is also an advantage if you live with Italians in a flat.

Cost-saving tip # 1: drink lots of coffee (cafe) at the bar, not the tables. Also, food in the restaurants is only slightly more expensive than the mensa, so take advantage and eat out once in a while...the experience is a great value!

It's a very informal university, with very nice people. Sometimes you have to wait long before you can meet somebody (professor).

I had the time of my life there! When you study in Siena you really have to travel through Toscana: it is sooo beautiful!!! People are very nice, food is very good,...life is good in Italy!
