Personal comments
Paris is a big city, not always people find the time to be nice. The Administrative Institutions are the worse, they help you but they refuse to speak other language, just the french. Tip: learn as much french as you can before you arrive. At University, things go easier, aren't we all in the same?

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I'd get my own independence, and i'd have the chance of being surrounded by all the people from the city and not just by students.

Pretty dificult to find a house in Paris. And the University Services do not help much. It's a life lesson to find your own place in that huge and beautiful city.

I wish I had known...
So many things... but maybe that's the pleasure of discovering. Maybe i'd wish to take more time to read about the city, and certainly to find a house before arrival.

It's a nice University in the centre of Paris. Lots of students from different areas, and that's always interesting.

It is what it is. Most people are here because they got shoehorned in by their home university. It probably won't be a central part of your experience in France.

I think the experience is typical French public university. Use your time here to get out and enjoy Paris.

Make sure your bank ATM works abroad. Even if they tell you it does, it may not. Be sure to have 2 accounts, or someone back home who can transfer funds by accessing your account.

Do it if you're ready to be on your own and not afraid of dealing with French bureacracy.
