Pourquoi?

Living in an apartment with other people didn't cause any problems for me. In the end, we were like a little family (all brothers and sisters) and that felt just great!

Rooms in the city centre are quite expensive and most of the time you don't have much space. My appartment was just 10 minutes walk from the city centre and it was clean and not too expensive (250 Euro/month).

I studied at MIREES, Institute for Central Eastern and Balkan Europe, and they had plenty of high profile courses in English. As an Erasmus you also got all flexibility you needed.

Access to libraries and the internet was a problem, as was the communication with the administrative staff - Italians can be very lazy when it comes to replying emails, even important ones.

It is a bit chaotic and it has a different system, based in oral exams and reading a lot of books, not that much in attending to lessons.

It's a great city with a lot of student life and I think it can be the best one to do an Erasmus experience. Also a good location to travel around. The experience is unpayable.

There is no housing at Universita degli studi di Bologna (at least for erasmus students). Either you see the adds at the buildings, or you take a newspaper and start phoning!
