At first it was horrifying to hear people talking nearby and only understand hello and goodbye. In the beginning I feared that I would never be capable of holding a conversation in Italian. However, by the end of the trip I could spend weekends with my Italian friends in Naples and understand the majority of what they were saying...even the slang!

It's so easy to live at a dorm and you get to meet a lot of people, including locals.

The dorm I lived in didn't look very nice and the corridors were cold in the winter, but I enjoyed living there since my friends lived there as well. There was a cafe downstairs and we used to have dinners there together, which was great.
