tasquilado is the best place for night. for wednesday nights Bar academica next to the residence is a good option to spend all night. Cervejeria Martins in Largo do Tural is a nice pub to eat and drink for the early hours of the night before going out.

live in braga is not that expensive, but when you head to the south, it is very expensive. Becouse of the touristic places. If you live quite normal, it won't be an expencive time.

Languages
Language of instruction: Portuguese
Was learning Portuguese a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my Portuguese
How much did you improve your Portuguese?
My level before: Did not speak it
My level after: Basic phrases
Language difficulties
Administrative / Institutional
Personal comments
Portuguese is really hard to learn in 5 months. the best option is to take a beginners course before you come to Portugal. There you can improve easily in two months by practice. And most of the Portuguese people don't speak Enlish so do not trust in you English Skills.
