In the university I didnt face real prolems regarding the language, since I am ver fluent and used to English as my first language anyway.
But it was often difficult to listen to the Chinese students during presentations or groupwork. the language knowledge of the teachers are good.
In the social life it was no problem with speaking english- since i mainly was only with exchange students.
The everyday life is difficult due to the language, as nobody in restaurants, taxis etc understands english. that is sometims really annoying.
