I really like UBI, it's an excellent University, which clearly is always looking to evolve and improve. I had excellent teachers, some who studied at Oxford.
The structure of the University is great, with a spacious and comfortable central library.

“Covid 19: How did they lead?”
Catarina S

Overall
My university has a lot of courses available for different areas. The campus could be better, in the main polo we dont have place to stop our car and the streets are really confused and narrow. But on the other hand, it's a peaceful, safe and kind city where you can live your life without big preocupations. You can go almost wherever you want by foot and once the city is in the montain, you have daily leg workout for free ahahaha
You can find good and bad/crazy teachers (at least, in sciences). Some of our teachers went crazy bc of the lab research and did nothing to take them outo of that, but you actually have really good teachers too, who can take you in a bigger way that you were imagining. During this pandemic, in Biotechnology and in general, the university could not lead with that in proper way. They are always changing dates of our tests, didnt gave us the mark on a right time and the students of biotech felt a BIG dificult to make the course this year...

Overall
Having to do second semester online is a challenge, the first one was a full of restrictions, but we made the possible. The overall experience was good. I am having a good year, and i learned a lot this year and lecturers really made the most of it in terms of having to move online. We had guest speakers like embassy people on Zoom, and more options for one-to-one sessions.
The teacher's did their best to provide us the best experience (at least some did).
The university care about our experience and even provide a online form evaluation.

“Political Science and International Relations in UBI”
Samuel A
Portugal,
International Relations, 2023
Overall
The bachelor degree in Political Science and International Relations gives students a wider view on the field, once politics is essential to understand international relations, plus because the domestic level influences the international level. The professors maintain a professional but very empathetic relation with the students, and the university is located in one of the calmest areas of Portugal.
It's a combination of prestige with a calm environment.
