Most Portuguese speak English, so it is easy to get around. Portuguese is a difficult language, but I took a language course.

Surprisingly, costs in lisboa were comparable to those in munich (where standard of living is quiet high). I spent a lot of money for telephone costs, because I had to buy a mobile one and rates to Germany were high (there didn´t exist a telephone from the local Telecom in my flat). Most goods had almost the same price as the ones in Germany - or were even more expensive.
