“En términos generales, positivo”
Pablo C
Spain, Graduate

Overall

Its very different to Universities here, I would recommend it but be warned the couse (Engineering at least) is very difficult. It may be possible to give yourself an easier ride elsewhere.

For learning Spanish it may be more advisable to go somewhere further North. The accent is sometimes absolutely unintelligable in Seville. However the city is amazing and must be seen.
Try very very hard to make friends on your course, it will be hard due to the language barrier and the fact that most students won't live near you but coursemates are vital to passing the exams.

university of sevilla is a good place, i think sevilla as a city is wonderful too, but i don´t really recomend the university if you are really in the mood to study and learn a ton, unless you take classes through the university instead of classes for foreigners.

Seville was a perfect location. There is the main train station, Santa Justa that will take you anywhere in Spain, also the beach is not too far and there are buses that can provide transport. I enjoyed the academic side and I enjoyed the classes. There is an airport in Seville that provides acess from abroad.

To bring slippers. It is pretty tough to break a 20 Euro bill. Coins are much more useful, but HEAVY.

Take lots of notes. If you miss a class, get those notes from someone else. All the exams are about testing how much you have memorized from the lectures and are able to spit back.

Get a Bono Bus card, use Eurovoice to call home, get a cell phone with Vodafone, beware of pick-pockets, walk on the opposite side of the street from the cathedral to avoid being hussled, and don't walk around alone at night esp. in Santa Cruz and around the Torre de Oro.

Translation/Interpretation, 2023
Overall
