Personal comments
at the beginnig it was a great chaos to cope with the spanisch language, because my language skills have been a catastrophe. at my first day i had to find a accomodation by my own, i had to phone for finding one. it was horrible, because on the phone it is so much more difficult to speak a language you canīt really speak. but surprisingly it was much easier to handle with everything than i thought. at the end you can manage nearly everything. the courses and clases at university were surprisingly easier to understand tahn i thought and i think the exams have been easier than in germany, too. furthermore, as an erasmus student, you always can speak english, even in spain. so you donīt have to worry about going to spain for studying. unfortunately there have been so many other german students, so most of the time i spoke german, which didnīt really help to improve my spanisch knowledges.

get a local atm card. when getting it, ask for the 'carnet joven'. like an ISIC card, it gives discounts to students under 26 on things like trains.

Check out if you can obtain some kind of a scholarship, grant or other kind of funding. Get a job at least one year ahead and start saving, this way you'll be able to experience your stay abroad in a more relaxed way having some extra cash at hand.

Dont go for the first accomodation you find, some of them are ridiculously expensive.Price differences between local supermarkets are significant.
