I didn't stay at the university. I rent a room in a shared flat. Roommates were really nice. I never heard anyone complaining about his roommates in general. Room fully furnished: internet, water, tv, electricity, gas,...

Being half Ecuadorian was a bit of a cheat really so had no real problems. Even the ussualy unfathomable Andalucian accent proved little challenge as thats more or less how it goes in Quito. Teachers were a little hard to follow at first as they used loads of academic level Spanish...but we all slowly worked it out.
